So a lot's happened...

Earlier in the summer of 2016 (blink and you missed it!) a project I'm part of won the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. A big congratulations to all the volunteers who have made the Northumbria World War One Project such a successful enterprise. I'm looking forward to the official presentation of the award this October. The site documents the casualties suffered by the region during the course of World War One. I'm not sure of the exact number, but I believe the total number of researched casualties is close to 2000. These are all personal stories and tragedies. In other news, there's been a whole host of websites launched, business identities designed and marketing leaflets printed. Here's some of our recent printed work. Finally completed the process and I am now a registered Provider for NBSL’s North East Business Support Fund helping businesses to improve their competitiveness. Grants of up to £1400 towards a project worth up to £3500 are available, that's 40% of the project costs  - you can use the grant for almost any type of business support that will help your business to grow - from marketing and web design to financial or human resources planning. Applications are simple and straightforward, simply fill in an online application an adviser from NBSL will visit you, you choose your provider – we hope you'll choose Big Purple Box!
